Life over Death
Don't ask Death what good it did that Jesus gave His life, that Good sacrificed itself. Ask Jesus, who has life and His full reward! Death thought it could take the life of Jesus, but it could not "take" what was freely "given!" Death does not know, nor understand the reason, it only knows "to take" and that each taking is its victory. But Death has already been defeated! -- 2,000 years ago on the cross; everyday; and forevermore! If someone gives their life -- even dying -- for another, then life does not die, but is passed on (as a second chance for the assailant, trading life for death instead of death for death, for example)! If Death comes to me by way of wanting to kill/steal/destroy my life, yet i freely give it for others' sake, even for my assailer, then do not ask Death why i was taken -- Death is a fool for thinking it has power over me & the God i serve! Instead, look to God -- Jehovah-Jireh "the Lord who provides/gives", and to Jesus Himself whose example i follow, for the answer will be obvious: life. I trade my life to help you defeat the Death in yours. If that day should ever come, know that, even as i might struggle, i would rather give my life and receive an eternal one than to let you live in Death. My life is not for you to take, for you cannot take what i freely give. By the power of God, El-Gibhor "mighty God," amen.
