Rob Bell: Love Wins

Look man, Jesus rescued us FOR God not FROM God. It was BY God that Jesus came and eliminated the need for a High Priest and burnt sacrifices to commune with God. We can now go straight to the Father! That's very exciting! Let us not get hung up on 1 idea because the way we phrased it struck a cord in us. Can we all agree that Jesus rescued us FOR God, not FROM God? (Say yes). Ok then, the problem is that we were subtly taught it was the other way around. And then it was just that: a problem in the way we were subtly taught. This bears no truth and changes nothing in God's plan. The question shouldn't be "do we need rescuing from God," it should be "why do we imply we need rescuing from God and how can we begin to change that subtle notion?"
Also, Rob Bell, why do you focus on "what practices and symbolic actions will get us to Heaven?" As you well should know, it's not about that. And since i'm sure you know it's not about that, it's wrong to ask a leading question that draws away from truth, especially since your answer is based on "what if" instead of the truth of "what is." We enter Heaven if we listen & obey to God. Do often what He says to do, never do what He says not to do.
