some time ago buried beneath the many miles of sand and dirt between the folds of my brain i remember a discussion between andy smith john edgerton and myself about concert experiences. it eventually basically came down to the decision if any of us were to "go back in time and see a band," which band would we see. it came down to joy division and the smiths.

i still choose joy division.
