"Well, Earl is," a small voice piped up from close to the ground. Majiru hated being short again; even though these memories he had of the future - or would it be the past, in this situation? - had a dreamlike quality, he could remember the feeling of being tall enough to look people in the eye, rather than having to talk up at them.

"Me, too, obviously," Majiru sighed and continued, then turned to look at the others in the room. He and Earl would have to sit on someone's lap, due to lack of space; it was a full kitchen, without a doubt. But it was missing someone he cared about, and to him, that was a disappointment.

"Come here, Majiru," Rinali smiled warmly from a seat at the kitchen table, patting her lap. She knew it was probably extremely awkward for him to be a little boy again, when only a short while before, he had been taller than her, but it wasn't that difficult for her to adjust to the change again. To be honest, she missed what he was like when he was little, and was more than happy to have the chance to see him grow up again, in a different way this time.

It was so nice to see Allen in the kitchen, cooking god knows what. Rinali could care less at this point. Just having him there was a blessing, which only would have been topped by having their missing family member there. She'd yet to say anything to Ryuuji about it, but now wasn't exactly the time.

Ryuuji, fashionably late as ever, joined the family in the kitchen, crossing his arms and leaning against the wall. "What are you doing, now?" Not that he needed the answer to that, of course; Allen was having another weird experiment of his in the form of their dinner.

"You need help, Allen?" He offered, chuckling. Even though Akira wasn't with them (and his insides seemed to twitch, both in anger and something else he refused to name), it was... nice. They had Allen back.

The happy smile and pink apron that he wore pretty much spoke for itself. He may have ventured off from the original recipe of whatever it was he had originally been intending to fix, but at least he was having fun doing it. The others would just have to sit back and enjoy the slightly odd ride. "I appreciate the offers, but I have this under control," he spoke with a smile, failing to mention that he had to chase Earl out of one of the pans earlier.

"Besides, I'm just about finished." Even as he spoke he was putting the conglomeration of ingredients that occupied the space of the bowl into a pan to slide into the oven. One could almost hesitate to say that they saw what might have been pretzels. "It should be ready in about twenty minutes."

It was truly nice to have everyone there as a family and he was definitely glad for this second chance. This time he had vowed to do things differently.

Majiru had already crawled up into Rinali's lap, however a bit hesitant. He had a flashback to his uncle asking him if Rinali was male or not, and he facepalmed to himself at the thought of it. Can't that idiot tell Rinali was a girl? She smelled like a girl to Majiru, at least.

Earl had already taken a seat on the table, right in front of where Rinali and Majiru were sitting. The boy made a note to chase the duck away, since obviously he - or, rather, she - would eat everything off everyone's plates. "Should we put Earl outside, Allen-nii? I mean, it's not fair, she's part of the family too, but she might make a mess... and eat everything..."

Majiru patted the duck, who gave a satisfied quack and wandered off across the table in the direction of Ryuuji.
