Chris O'Dowd up for IT Crowd film

Chris O'Dowd has revealed he would like to see The IT Crowd turned into a film.

But the Irish actor, who plays computer geek Roy Trenneman in the Channel 4 sitcom, has doubts about how the show could translate onto the big screen.

"I'd be up for it, but I don't know how they could string it up - we can barely make half an hour out of it, so I don't know what we would do out of an hour and a half," he said.

Chris' IT Crowd co-star Richard Ayoade, who portrays socially awkward techie Maurice Moss, previously joked that the adaptation would have influences of Christopher Nolan's Inception.

"It would be like the Inception version of The IT Crowd - multiple realities, with a map," he said.

If it did happen, The IT Crowd would follow in the footsteps of other TV series adapted into feature-length projects like The Inbetweeners, Sex And The City and the forthcoming The Professionals.

I need series 5 in my life now.
