Count another one that has finished it. Haven't been to sleep yet. That book was an emotional rollercoaster, imo. I was proud of the trio and I was proven wrong about my big prediction. But I ached for Severus in this book. Although, I was so proud of Harry to do right by him ( Read more... )

Snape redeems Snape, he betrayed Voldemort because of Lily and continued to protect her son even after she died. Harry just shouted it in the Great Hall to all. Neville, ironically, avenged Snape when he killed Nagini.

Did Lily ever find out Snape loved her?
Never stated, although she'd have to be blind not to know something was up.

I totally called Snape ... but I do think his death was a bit of a let-down. At the very least, he deserved a decent death-scene, not just "Me want wand, me smash you!"

And can you imagine what it'll look like on screen? ohgod

I don't think they've ever had another character who bled like that, descriptively, in the books. Bill got torn up, of course, but we never 'saw' it.

I doubt they'll show it. Remember, the whole thing is from Harry's point of view, so we'll get to see flashes, and the snake opening her mouth to strike, Snape going "argh" ... but no blood.

Maybe Snape's hand will have blood on it when he hands Harry the bottle o' memories.

Harry told Voldemort in front of the survivors everything he had learned from Severus' memories. How he loved Lily and he turned on LV.

Plus, he named one of his sons Albus Severus and told the child that if he was sorted in Slytherin, to be proud because one of the men he Headmasters was in Slytherin and was on of the bravest men he'd ever seen.

I broke down sobbing there.

And sorry, to break your heart, I know mine felt like it was ripped out by Nagini too. Which is what happens to him. DAMN VOLDEMORT!

This is my main concern as well. It kills me that he died there on that floor gasping for air because he had been bitten in the neck, he bled to death.

She was so damn cruel to him. GAHHH!

Where was everyone? Dying.

Harry watched it happen and it hurt him that he couldn't do anything to save Severus. Ok...gotta stop...I am going on breakdown again.
