Does anyone else think it's incredibly lame that only three-ish characters under 20 (Fred, Colin Creevey & Crabbe, off the top of my head) kicked it? I mean, Hedwig's death just wasn't emotionally incisive and didn't cut it.
Also, I love what we learn abour Draco in the epilogue: he has a son named Scorpius and a receding hairline. Because the latter is SO IMPORTANT ZOMG !ELEVENTY-ONE!!!!11!
Even though I'd read the Carpet Book, I went to the midnight release. Why not buy into what is, to date, the most overhyped media event of my lifetime? It was like a 20th high school reunion: tons of kids I used to know, stilted conversations about the sparkly new hair colour I've had for almost a year, and annoying children everywhere. But I got a free poster! And a real book! (The Mommy Myth, about the modern media's distortion of motherhood etc, which is incredible thus far and which I highly recommend)
