bellanna and I went to see Matrix Revolutions last night in the Cambridge Warner, against our better judgement because of the on-line print-out discount voucher mentioned in
livejournal_uk. We started at The Wrestlers, which was much busier than usual because the local band Men Behaving Sadly were going to play, but we couldn't stay to hear them sing and play properly. Instead we heard them setting up and tuning.
At the cinema we were the first in so we picked seats right at the back and fortunately the floor wasn't the usual sticky mess. But, oh boy, did we have to wait. The film programme was supposed to start at 21:10, but the lights didn't dip at the start of the adverts until 21:30. After the pointless adverts and trailers for films we didn't want to see, the film started!
The film didn't start with "Previously on The Matrix ..." so don't go and see this film if you don't know what happened in Matrix Reloaded. Sandi and I enjoyed the film, it wasn't too long and had, in my opinion, a good ending. This film was definately better than no.2 (too long and trying to 'explain' too much), and overall I liked The Animatrix best.
As I type some of my mad colleagues are running around the local lake in aid of today's BBC Children In Need charity fundraising event. The weather is suitably cold, grey and damp.
illuminoid and I are staying right here working. Mostly!
