a good day, today.

first, I woke up, as many a day begins with. then I sat around for a few hours, and walked to the zoo, where tessa and I met and we went and gawked at the animals, swung on the swings, walked in the park, and then went to henderson center--on the way, we saw a cool mushroom...

at henderson center, I learned that tessa is a scented-candle addict, and must smell every single one in the store (of which there were a lot). "Aphrodisiac" was my favorite scent, only because it smelled patently un-sexual. then we got food, and were going to go watch a movie, but tessa felt ill, so she went home. I think she felt ill because she spent so much time with me--too much of a good thing, you know.

so I went home and then...

alex, kevin, and I embarked on a grand adventure this night. first we went to the high school, expecting it to be deserted, but instead there was a large population of asian people dancing to crappy music in the cafeteria, and even more of them in the gym, playing volleyball. We retired to the row, where we decided that the table would be much better suited on the other side of the pathway, next to a tree. Then kevin showed us all the places we could get under the school, and in doing so we made our way to the del norte side of the school, where I finally noticed the coolest thing ever--the enterprising people that live in the house bordering the hick parking lot installed a soda VENDING MACHINE in their fence, because all they sell at school now are gatorade, juice, and water. these people are my heros. apparently, they're alex's too:

after worshipping the vending machine, we sat on our longboards and rode down J street all the way to the jail, went to the gazebo, where I suggested we go to the library parking lot and laugh at the really fat man that sits in his car every night, wating for hookers, which is actually really sad. So we did that, and he was there, and then we sat around on the steps of the library. after awhile, we decided that food sounded good, and made our way to mcdonalds, where we were rudely greeted by an employee...

we got food...

and left...

then I decided that it would be way cooler to go the other way back to alexs, past beret center and zane. well, after only going down one wrong street, and exerting way more energy than if we had just gone back up J, we made it to alex's where we watched Wet Hot American Summer, which, while being funny, wasn't a fabulous movie. the most laughs were at the deleted scenes, most of which were priceless.

longboarded home, and typed this.
