There are nano statistics that could be chartified and published, but they are singularly dull because I tended to write the same amount almost every day, at almost the same time every day, and few of my friends wrote enough for a month long word count comparison. Actually, I don't think I'm even aware of three people I know that finished.
I fought with a printer today. My HP printer never gave me as much trouble as this Kodak printer that I'm visiting. I still haven't printed the thing that I wanted for tomorrow. Tomorrow is Diana's fam's Christmas party/gathering, and I wanted to bring a page showing recent generations of genealogy, including how that family is connected to Abraham Lincoln (5th cousin, X-removed) and Paul Revere (1st cousin, X-removed). I intend to print it somehow and give out a few copies to any interested parties at the party.
Encyclopedic note on cousins: The number before the word "cousin" is a measurement of how distant the cousin is. A first cousin shares a pair of grandparents with you. A second cousin shares a pair of great-grandparents. A third cousin shares a pair of great-great-grandparents. Thus, my parents are fifth cousins because they share a pair of great-great-great-great-grandparents. The "X times removed" refers to how many generations you are separated from the person that is the cousin. So let's say my mother has a (1st) cousin named Becca. Becca would then be my (1st) cousin, once removed. Diana's great-great-great-great-great-great-grandfather (that's 6 greats) was a first cousin to Paul Revere. Thus, her 7-greats-grandfather was Paul Revere's uncle, and her 8-greats grandfather was Paul Revere's grandfather. She is therefore Paul's first cousin, eight times removed. Incidentally, Diana (my brother's wife, in case you were wondering) is my eleventh cousin once removed. This happens to make my niece my twelfth cousin. Woohoo.
The current seasonal goal is getting the license, which is more or less waiting on a little more practice and some sort of specific commentary from qualified drivers.
I could use an instrument again, preferably guitar. I think that I will buy one when I have the disposable income for it. (Which means...)
