Could she be the one to aid Jim and the away teams how to conduct themselves on diplomatic missions? Iunderstand this roll fell on to the ship's counselor in STNG. But I was wondering before I write a mistake, could this have been a Senior Communications Officer's job as well ?
I mean if she has a talented tongue, she would also have to be trained in field of Xenosociology ( I made that term up) But I figured, if you learn the damn language , you should have a better understanding of the culture better than other Starfleet officers ?
Or would that be another officer's job ?
