Anyone Think an S/U New Year's Writing/Art Challege Would Be Nice??
Hey there everyone,
I think this is my first actual entry here, but I've just gotten over the hump of participating in Christmas writing challenges/exchanges for another fandom, and I was wondering about S/U. Since so many other fandoms seem to do Christmas challenges, I was thinking that a New Year's challenge would be great, you know, bring in the New Year with Spock and Uhura. Who wouldn't like that? :)
The S/U New Year's, I dunno, "Bring in the New Year with Love," Challenge wouldn't start until New Year's day. I was thinking that this would be the cutoff for submitting writing/art requests in the future and of course in exchange posting your willingness to participate and say what you're good at and would like to do.
Since the 2013 New Year is only a few days away, I'm thinking that this year the cutoff for entering the Challenge could be January 7th, and the presents would need to be turned in by February 7th so they could be posted during Valentine's Week starting February 14th and so pinch hits could be done if someone has to drop out unexpectedly.
I'm thinking that stories should be at least 1000 words, and artwork could be at least a 3 month Computer Wallpaper Calendar (Feb-Apr) if done from scratch and at least 6 months (Feb-Jul) if done using photomanips.
So, would anyone be interested? Please comment with your thoughts.
