Star Trek Ongoing #2 Comic* available

Star Trek Ongoing #2 is now available. I read the comic and then watched the episode on which it was based. In my opinion, #2 is more satisfying then #1 namely because it has a conclusion. Unfortunately, there are no Spock/Uhura moments in this comic - in fact, Uhura does not appear at all.

Even though I watched Where No Man Has Gone Before somewhat recently, since the last movie came out, I went ahead and watched it again. It is interesting to see how some things are the same and some things are different in the new 'verse. The main things that stick out in my mind about the episode are the way Spock shouts a lot of his lines, the sexism toward woman, the derogatory way that Kirk speaks to Spock about his lack of emotion, and Kirk's overacting especially when he is being controlled by Gary Mitchell. Oh, and Gary Mitchell is really good looking. ;-)

I found myself wishing that I could have watched the episode with other Spock/Uhura shippers.

*This new timeline version of the TOS episode "Where No Man Has Gone Before" is part of a bridge that takes us from ST XI to ST XIII.
