His comments on the ongoing narrative and allusions to Spock's internal/external conflict are interesting & promise a nuanced performance. One imagines he'd be a very engaging actor in live theater as well. I know that he was in "Angels in America" last year, not sure what other stage work he's done.
he's theater-trained with a BFA from Carnegie-Mellon, and sits on the board of the The Ojai Playwrights Conference, so he's actually very involved with theater and acting. Sylar wouldn't be as intriguingly messed up if he was played by another actor.
Thanks for the details -- I remembered that he graduated from Carnegie-Mellon, but didn't know about his work with Ojai Playwrights Conference (next time I'll just look it up instead of posting, I was simply musing aloud on the theater question). It must be very fulfilling to be able to keep a foot in both stage & screen worlds.
