you make my heart beat faster “Seriously, Scott. Why are we even on this street when we don’t have to work?” Stiles grumbles, trailing behind Scott and slouching to Scott how not okay he was with this.
“The Sno Cones are good.” Scott says, quickening his pace, and Stiles narrows his eyes. There’s something Scott’s not telling him. They approach the Sno Cone window and when the guy inside spots them, his whole face lights up.
“Hey Scott!” The guy swipes his hand through his curls and grins at Scott, wide and unabashed. Scott grins back just as brightly and laughs (giggles?!).
“Hey Isaac!” They sort of stare at each other for a bit before Stiles clears his throat and stares pointedly at Scott.
“Right! Can we have two cherry Sno Cones please? I’m introducing my best friend to them.” Scott grins as he hands his money over to Isaac, and Isaac smiles back.
“Is this the infamous Stiles I’ve heard so much about?” Stiles gapes at this.
“You talk about me to strangers? Scott!” Scott just shrugs and doesn’t even look at Stiles.
Stiles opens his mouth to say something about this, but then he spots someone from the corner of his eye.
A very fine looking someone. Who just waved at him.
Stiles freezes in shock before abruptly swinging his hand up to do the human thing and wave back, and his hand knocks into Scott’s, knocking the Sno Cone to the ground.
“Goddamn shit!” Stiles cries.
“Oh that’s just depressing.” Scott says, shaking his head. “I’m not sharing with you.”
Stiles frowns and looks over Scott’s shoulder to where the guy was standing not twenty seconds ago. He’s across the street now, and Stiles can clearly see the guy laughing at him.
Stiles flushes, turns around, and stomps back towards his Jeep. He ignores Scott’s calls and Isaac’s laughter.
Oh yes, his life just keeps getting better and better.

“But you said he waved at you!” Scott says, not taking his eyes from the screen in front of him. Stiles regrets mentioning that bit, because now Scott won’t leave it alone.
“Could’ve been someone else,” Stiles replies, glancing at the clock, “I have to make dinner for my dad, so as soon as I kick your ass, you’re helping me.”
“Fine, but I’m going to be kicking your ass- cheating!” Scott cries, tossing away his controller and glaring at Stiles, “And you’re not getting away from this conversation.”
“What the hell, have you been talking to Lydia?” Stiles grumbles, shutting the game off and making his way downstairs.
“Maybe, but I also know you won’t be happy until you at least take a chance.” Scott says, “Stiles, I just want you to be happy.”
“I would like Stiles to be happy too,” Stiles replies, “It just never seems to work out.”
Scott frowns at Stiles and then shrugs, “Well I tried. It’s not up to me now.”
Stiles pulls his head out of the fridge and glares at Scott.
“What the hell are you talking about?” Stiles growls, “Who’re you texting?!”
“Nothing! Nobody!” Scott cries, laughing as Stiles trips over in his feet in haste to get to Scott, who sidesteps him and darts into the living room.
“I swear to god if you and Lydia are plotting against me, I will end you!” Stiles gasps, scrambling to his feet.
“Not against you; for you!” Scott grins at Stiles and holds his phone above his head, shaking his head as Stiles grabs for it. “Too late buddy, it’s already sent.”
Stiles moans and collapses back onto the couch. “What is she going to do?”
Scott just smirks at him, “You’ll see.”
“Well fine, if you’re invading my personal life, what about you and this Isaac kid?” Stiles asks, grinning at the way Scott flushes and immediately leaves the room. He laughs and follows Scott back into the kitchen, but wipes the grin from his face when he sees the sad look on Scott’s face.
“Aw, man. What is it?” Stiles asks, “Is he a tool? Just a pretty face?”
“No, he’s great, but that’s the problem,” Scott replies, “He’s so great someone’s already got him.” He sighs and plops himself down at the table. Stiles pats his shoulder sympathetically, but is already thinking of ways to help Scott win this guy over.
“Stiles, no.” Scott says, seeing the look on Stiles’ face. “No, Stiles.”
“I do what I waaaaaant!” Stiles cries, jumping away from Scott and running up the stairs, “You meddle in my love life, I meddle in yours!”
Scott sighs. This is going to be a long summer.
