Abilities/Powers: Baby is human, and by that I mean, she has no magical abilities or anything of the sort, just an insatiable love for the dead. She is skilled with knives and guns.

PERSONALITY:

"Whatever you need to do, you do it. There is no wrong. If someone needs to be killed, you kill 'em. That's the way."

Baby is, plainly put, psychotic, something that obviously runs in the family as apparent in the behavior of her Mama, Otis, and Earl (Tiny’s father who, after hearing voices, tried to burn down the house with his family still in it). Tiny is questionable, he may be guilty by association, but he does keep people in cages in his basement room. She cares for no one but herself and her family, and for her family, she is savagely protective. Baby goes insane when she sees her brother and father being beaten, as well as when she learns Officer Wydell killed her mother. She hasn’t spent a day of her life without them, it’s reasonable for their bond to be steadfast and strong. She adores and loves her mother first and foremost, who claims Baby looked like an angel when she was born. Otis is a close second being the closest to him out of her other “three” brothers. Three being in quotations because Mama kept Wilbur around and he’s sorta, kinda a fetus. Otis trained her in how to hunt humans and animals alike, and when he made his exhibits for Captain Spaulding, it was usually Baby who helped with assembly and ideas. The level of love between Otis and Baby is questionable. For example, during a hostage situation in a sleazy motel, Baby is, as always, taunting their victims by dancing for them. Otis, watching with a keen level of interest that is certainly not brotherly-like, makes racy remark about her body (hot piece of ass to be precise) to one of the men, curious if that guy is thinking dirty thoughts about Baby. They bicker often as siblings are wont to do, using foul language nonstop toward one another, but most of it is in jest, each knowing what buttons to push from so many years spent together. She wonders why he’s such a grouch, though, and can be nice to him. When not bickering or killing, the two are often found dancing in a carefree manner or making home movies. And yes, not all are documentaries on their twisted lifestyle.

She has zero regard for morals or human life, and she lacks a sense of modesty. She changes (quite often at that) whenever, wherever, in front of whoever. It’s nothing to bathe in front of others, male or female. She is rarely seen wearing bras or undies, evident in her destroyed jeans or low cut shirts. She is boisterous, sneaky, mischievous, manipulative, and a multitasker. She’ll readily carve you up while thinking of her next little stage performance, or sing you a nursery rhyme while gutting your still breathing body. Where Otis prefers gags, Baby takes pleasure in hearing her victims (i.e. he has cheerleaders gagged in his room, where she only handcuffs them to the bed). The whole family has their own way of keeping mementos and trophies from victims (i.e. Baby keeps and wears one of the cheerleading outfits). Mama was the main one in charge of their scrapbooks, the police finding at least ten during their raid, which collected pictures before and after of their victims news articles related to their missing cases.

Her laugh is high pitched and borderline annoying, a gleeful shriek of madness. She is most happy when she is hunting, killing, or dancing; loving the way blood tastes and feels against her usually exposed skin. Or, of course, with her family, who partake in the murders they’ve committed in Riggsville. Baby swears a lot, more likely to use foul language and behave raunchily than like a ‘lady’. Words like cunt or the n-word have no effect on her whatsoever. In fact, the only time she puts on a lady-like mask is to lure unsuspecting strangers home, and even then, it’s rare. Baby isn’t beyond acting a role to nail another corpse. It’s important that they feel safe and trust her to help their lost, little souls. But mostly she just enjoys getting a reaction with her dirty mouth. Her provocative dress doesn’t carry the intentions of drawing male attention toward herself unless it’s part of the plan. She simply feels more comfortable without under-things and her lithe form and tiny breasts makes this feasible. Significant others are not things on the top of her to-do list and while she enjoys sex (and yes, even sex with dead bodies and skeletons), that was more Otis’s thing. She’d much rather down a fifth and think up some new attraction for Spaulding’s museum. She finds feminism a cop-out and excuse for women to be the whiney bitches they are.

She likes to sing (but she can’t carry a tune to save her life) and perform, putting on plays for the family and/or their victims. She’s all about nursery rhymes and fairy tales, likes Grimm’s and Andersen. The originals with the gory outcomes and flair for the gruesomely dramatic. She also adores pin-up girls and the Old Hollywood actresses like Bette Davis and Joan Crawford. Something about their elegant, yet raw behavior, their risqué poses and perfectly fit dresses. They were forces to be reckoned with, hailed actresses and women of their time. They pushed boundaries and did as they pleased. Why wouldn’t Baby sing their praises? Besides, famous people are so much better than the real thing.

She finds a thrill in engaging in games and pranks with her prey, from guessing her favorite actress to what number is she thinking of? She taunts them and antagonizes them with pleasure. Think it’s annoying to have things tossed at you? Or be poked randomly and repeatedly in the ribs? Too fucking bad, Baby thinks it’s funny. Though brutal and vicious, Baby does have a playful side to her. She likes to bathe, and all bathes must have bubbles for playing with. Rain is made for skipping in. Hot cocoa must have marshmallows in it.

Baby would much rather use books as desk weights or for cutting out letters to paste in her scrapbook instead of reading them. She is literate but never attended any form of public school. Mama Firefly taught her daughter anything she needed or wanted to know. She usually puts a lot of thought into her actions, from which wrapping paper to choose, to how to bleed a victim to death, but is prone to distractions. Her nickname/alias she insists on going by comes from being the last child of the family. Mama and the others most certainly babied her for being said child, as well as the only girl. She’s more about fun than practicality (i.e. when the tire on their car blows out she cares more about the song, which she loves, on the radio and dancing).

She’ll be piiissssseeed to find herself back on this MFing ship. She had potential to graduate under Rayne who allowed the Inmate to get her killing fix in Ports, but only on those deserving of the death. Just as she did before, eventually she’ll become lonely without her family. She won’t admit to being scared without them, and will likely seek comfort in her fellow inmates, more so the murderers and oddballs.

THE PHYSICAL:

Baby is a 5'10 Caucasian female with wavy hair that is dyed blonde, with brown roots. She is slim, with minor defined muscles. She is a fast runner and on her right hip is a tattoo of a firefly. Her smile tends to look seductive or sarcastic.

PATH TO REDEMPTION:

Without her family around, it is possible she could start to turn a new leaf, though it would be a slow process. She needs her support system, but she also grew up in a drastically different environment than most people. Old habits die hard. I really do feel, though, that her family is a very important means to this path. So long as one isn’t insulting of their lifestyle, they can point out how insane the Firefly household was. By no means will her redemption be easy, growing up with a family labeled the Devil’s Rejects and being part of a case that was the most gruesome thing they’d seen since Jack the Ripper. They used skulls as ornaments, kept body parts in the fridge, had a mass grave and graveyard, had an underground tunnel system with mummified bodies and stray victims, the list goes on and on. And it’s funny to them. Her Warden can definitely try to discuss the potential guilt she felt at being set free by John Wydell and leaving Otis and Spaudling behind. She didn’t want to hide, though, when Charlie comes back and only does so because he makes her.

Random facts for bonding, etc: Likes Sci-Fi, smokes when she’s bored, perfect aim with throwing knives, likes to cuddle, has a taxidermy peacock in her room, Previous Wardens were as follows: Rayne. Scott Summers. John Constantine. Kung Lao. Dr. Gregory House. Dr. Jonathan Crane.

HISTORY:

Vera-Ellen Firefly was born on December 13th to Mother Firefly and Captain Spaulding (in the unlikely event someone apps them, I won’t assume any names since none were given in the movie). She is the sister to Rufus "R.J." Jr, Tiny, and Otis. And Wilbur the fetus. To say they have a dysfunctional family is putting things lightly; and yet they’d argue that they function just fine, fuckyouverymuch. The only dolls she ever played with ended up decapitated or mutilated, the body parts tacked to a wall in a deranged collage on their front porch. She did not grow up with a strong fatherly hand to guide her, as Captain Spaulding lived elsewhere and only ever visited the house to pick up “supplies.”

From around the time Baby started to crawl, her life was filled with death. The house was refuge to Doctor Satan, a deranged murderer with a bounty on his head and warrant for his immediate arrest, and was a lure for stranded people, hitchhikers, and other motley sorts. Baby didn’t learn about the underground torture chambers or mass graves until she ten and she was ready to join the ‘family business.’ If Captain Spaulding wasn’t able to entice anyone to visit the house, it was up to Baby and Rufus to get them, using seduction or faux friendly hospitality.

Baby grew up being closest to Otis, he being her playmate before they moved onto the real life dolls that the business brought. They were extremely protective of one another, so much that Otis killed for her; it was during her fifteenth year that a stringy hillbilly, who had been captured and held prisoner for two days, tried to get fresh with Baby and made an attempt to rape her. No one could figure out how he’d managed to loosen his bindings (though Tiny had, on occasion, been known to get their victims hopes up by setting them free so that Baby or Otis could hunt them down). Otis walked in just as the hillbilly was forcing Baby down to the ground and ripped him off of his sister, cutting his throat in just a fashion that he’d bleed to death slowly. He wanted him alive for the torture that was in store. Another instance was when Tiny saved Baby from being beaten to death by Officer John Wydell, snapping his neck with ease.

The Fireflys continued to rack up the missing persons list until they were eventually found out after four college students traveling throughout rural America become intrigued by a local legend regarding the mad scientist, Dr. Satan. Captain Spaulding purposely sent them to the Firefly house. While they were looking for the tree he was hung in, they came across Baby hitchhiking. Conveniently after picking her up they experienced car trouble and were taken in by the Fireflys. One of the two girls in the group was Don Willis’ (an ex-cop) daughter and immediately a search was conducted for her and her friends after she failed to make a check-in call. The search led Lieutenant George Wydell and his partner, Officer Deputy Steve, to the house, in which Bill Hudley has been made into an attraction for Captain Spaulding’s freak show (Fish Boy) and the others brutally maimed and murdered. Baby scalped Jerry Goldsmith herself and stabbed Mary Knowles countless times until she choked on her own blood.

Things quickly became chaotic, resulting in the death of all three men. Wydell’s brother, John, became crazed after his brother’s murder and lead a siege on the house. The event turned into a shoot-out and his only success at the time was killing Rufus and capturing Mother Firefly: Baby and Otis escape while Tiny went missing.

Baby was very close to her mother as well, being Mama Firefly “worked” at home, but she became close to Captain Spaulding during their renegade rampage run. During their escape road trip, the three manipulated a traveling band, Banjo and Sullivan, in order to use their motel room, later slaughtering every member of the band.

Upon finding out that the escaped killers had taken shelter at a whorehouse, John Wydell tracked down the owner, Captain Spaulding's pimp brother from another mother, Charlie Altamont and told him to keep the family there so he could ambush them. With the help of the Unholy Two, brothers hired to hunt down the remaining Fireflys, he managed to capture the Rejects and bring them back to their house. Becoming increasingly disturbed, the Sheriff brought them to their basement and tied them to a bunch of chairs. There, he proceeded to sadistically torture them like they had done to their victims throughout the night. He nailed Otis's hands to his chair, he electrocuted and beat Spaulding with a cattle prod, and he taunted Baby over the death of her mother (John cut her from belly button up to rib cage after she rubbed it in his face that she killed his brother) and he even stapled pictures of their victims to their chests.

After dousing the room with gasoline and leaving Spaulding and Otis to burn, Wydell let Baby escape so he could track her down and kill her. Charlie returned to try to save his “niece”, hiding her away in his car, but Wydell killed him with an axe. Baby fled, but Wydell caught up and shot her in the leg, shattering her shin bone. He flogged her and then tried to strangle her to death. It was only the return of Tiny that finally stopped Wydell. The mute giant picked up the Sheriff and snapped his neck. Tiny went into the burning house and set Otis and Spaulding free, but he decides to stay behind instead of escaping with his family. The Rejects share a brief, tearful reunion and escape in Charlie's car.

The next day, after driving for hours on end, the trio found themselves confronted by a police barricade. They grabbed their guns and went forward in a final blaze of glory, being shot to death by the police and taking as many pigs as they could with them.

THE SAMPLES:

Sample Journal Entry:Why the fuck would I want to write in a pussy ass journal? The only time I ever kept anything like one was that bitchin’ scrapbook Otis and I made of all the people we killed in one year. One year and we nearly filled the thing! That was fun.

Those cheerleaders, though, they weren’t much fun after the third day. So we didn’t loosen their wittle cuffs, cry, cry, cry. I expected them to show me a routine, but nooo, bitches gotta whine about being hungry and cold. Like I fucking care.

Sample RP: She’d been waiting all day to go back to her room and play with the recently conned girl that was tied to her bed. Of the three unlucky teens to arrive at their door, Baby had chosen her because of the fun kitty purse she had, which Baby snatched instantly. Looked better on her anyway, and it wasn’t like the chick was going to need it anymore. She’d taunted the young thing about the guy in her wallet.

“OOooOOo, who’s this? He’s a looker, eh? He your main fuck?”

The girl whimpered and refused to answer Baby, tugging with less effort than before on her bindings. Baby sat on the girls hands, eyeing the picture. “Think he misses you? Betcha I could have him forget about you in two seconds, pretty pretty.”

“Fuck you,” the girl growled.

Baby smacked her face and sternly said, “Now listen here, cunt, you don’t talk to me like that or I won’t bring you cookies and milk later!” She smiled sweetly, her own Jackyl and Hide, petting the girl’s hair. “Be nice to Baby and she’ll be nice to yoouuu.”

Baby hounded her with questions for another fifteen minutes, asking what they did in bed and how many pussies she thought he had before hers. The Firefly daughter soon tired of her and decided if the girl liked kitties so much it would be fun to tattoo the girl’s body up in little scratches, using rusty nails and cardboard (because sometimes paper cuts were more painful than knee scrapes). But tonight, tonight needed something more. She hadn’t checked on the other two, despite the girl’s pleas. Really, Baby could give two fucks what Otis and Tiny were doing to the others.

Baby had gone shopping for basic groceries and ‘supplies.’ She was standing in the pet aisle, thinking a cat leash might be fun. She picked up a pink studded leather one, examining it and comparing the sizes. She wondered if she could squeeze her neck into the tiniest one, thinking she’d make a bet with Rufus on how long the bitch would last before begging to have it taken off. The blond cackled and an elderly woman nearby gave her a discouraging look, the laugh making her nervous.

“The fuck you looking at, Grandma? Keep staring and I’ll cut your fucking eyes out and feed them to my dog!”

The woman’s face fell in horror, gasping as she tried to shuffle her body quickly away from the crazed blonde.

Baby smirked and added the collar to her basket.
