Dean'n'Cas (maybe Sammy too) and safe havens.
There's nothing else I enjoy more than a Dean/Castiel fic but I'm looking for something six degrees of separation from that today.
Stories where Dean or Castiel is romantically involved with someone else and the romantic interest has to accept (graciously or not, I don't care) that the friend is a permanent fixture of Dean or Cas's life and is pretty much married to their significant other. Where Dean is still the axis of Castiel's universe and Dean might as well have an angel shaped hole in his chest when he's gone. (D/C ending is not necessary)
Or an unrelated 3rd person POV where they realize, 'wow, so this is a thing, symbiotic and codependent and weird but it's not leaving anytime soon' (The triada of Sam&Dean&Castiel is a plus)
Do we have a fic community/reclist that might be a safe place from trigger subjects like abuse, r*pe, dubious consent, torture, selfharm, bullying, (etc)? Or if you could rec me long fics where these subjects just don't come up or are not an important part of the plot that would be amazing. Ugh. I already feel queasy/vulnerable right now and even thinking about this is leaving me shaking (and RL is not an option). No incest either, please.
