Looking for savingfaith333

Oct 18, 2010 13:59

I'm after any fic by savingfaith333 , I know her journal has been purged and her fic along with it. But I was hoping someone might know of somewhere that her wonderful fiction is still able to be read? She wrote some amazing Dean/Cas stories and I was terribly sad when I realised she wasn't about anymore. I'd love to be able to read her stuff again ( Read more... )

!deleted-journal/story, crossover: stargate/atlantis, pairing: dean/castiel

email me at amalthia at gmail.com and I'll send you the stories. The author had asked me to take them off the site but I still have my personal copies. :)

Just let me know what format you're looking for like epub or mobi?

I do not use PDFs because they look like crap on my PRS-650 and no one ever seems to make PDFs sized for a 6 inch screen (with the exception of elfwreck

But I do have all other ebook formats and RTF. I sent the RTF files your way. You can convert those to PDF.

I was curious are you reading the PDF on your computer???

Wonderful thank you!

And yes I do read the pdf's on my computer. I get a lot of them for uni so I'm used to it, and they seem to look fine on it to me. I don't know of any other formats to have them in, so I doubt I'd have the software on my computer to open them! O.o lol the rtf I can work with though XD thanks!

Yeah, I read on a portable e-ink reader to PDFs don't work so great for me. I just didn't realize that many people read PDF's on their computers. But to be fair when I open PDFs half the time my computer crashes...So I do my best to avoid that format.

wow yeah, that would be highly annoying! The crashing thing lol. I've never had an issue with them thankfully XD

Oh that note, do you run the ebook site above? If so, how does one go about having their stories added? I have a couple I'd like to add maybe!

Well, normally once I have permission I create an RTF version of the story. (Like the type I just sent you of Savingfaith33) and from there I create an HTML version using Word Perfect and then clean up the HTML before uploading to Calibre.

For authors that would like to add their own stories, they just have to create an account at the Ebook Library. Format the RTF so the font is about 20 Arial, insert correct author and title metadata in the document properties, find a reliable site to upload the story to (or they can use the public FTP I have set up for authors that don't have their own web hosting site), and then add the story via the story upload but instead of pasting in the text of the story they would paste in the link back to the RTF version of the story.

I use this code in the story box.

Download Here:< p >
< a href = " title goes here " >story title goes here< / a > (RTF Version) < p ( ... )
