One or both boys as fishermen?

I remember reading a story that was really gorgeous and atmospheric, but I can't remember what it was. In it, I'm pretty sure one or both boys was a fisherman or worked on a boat. I think maybe it was Dean, and maybe Sam waited for him on shore? I'm being really vague here, sorry. I remember it primarily for the descriptions of the ocean. I think it may have started as a ficlet, then got a longer sequel a little later. Does that sound familiar to anyone?
