AU Series/Season 1 Sam Gets Kicked out of Stanford
Hi guys, I'm looking for an old fic and I'm having a hell of time finding it on Ao3. The fic was AU to the Series where Sam was kicked out of Stanford for fighting. He was bullied by some trust fund kids and was thrown out for defending himself about 6 months in. He started hunting solo, finds a father figure in a guy he saved on a hunt, and meets up with Dean halfway through the fic. It also explores Sam's powers early on where he is getting visions and telekinesis I think. It was pretty early on in the fandom so it didn't have the angel's/vessel storyline at all but the boys did fight Azazel I believe. There is some budding romance between Sam and Dean but its pretty minor for most of the story.
Other details, I know the father figure gave Sam a classic car which I think was a red mustang. Sam invented a salt bomb that he used to takes out either a poltergeist or a ghost. Sam was hesitant to reach out to Dean think he would still be mad at him for leaving but the father figure encourages him to. I think the fic may have been written before Bobby was introduced to the series as I don't remember him being mentioned at all.
It's been driving me nuts trying to find the fic as I remember loving the story and I would love to reference it as I work that inspired a current WIP I am working on.
