Looking for a specific fic: A post-purgatory hurt!Dean story where Dean gets a strange tattoo.
Howdy, I've been looking for this story for a while, so any and all help would be welcome and greatly appreciated!
What I can remember from this fic is that it features canon divergence in the form of Dean making a pact/deal with some sort of ancient entity from Purgatory in order to escape. As a result he ends up with a tattoo with a strange design on his back (I think?) that he hides from Sam when he returns home. The entity either possesses Dean and/or stays nesting in him post-purgatory and essentially makes Dean's life hell.
I can't remember the main pairing of the fic (if I were to guess it was either Castiel/Dean or Sam/Dean, definitely with bottom!Dean) but I recall it gets quite dark at times and features some graphic non-con scenes between Dean and the entity, as well as plenty of Dean-whump with the side of worried!protective Cas/Sam.
It has a happy ending though, of that I'm certain. The tattoo gets seen at some point by Sam which kickstarts the process of relieving Dean of the entity. Or something along those lines.
I think I read the fic over at AO3, though I can't say for sure. The story also featured art so that might narrow down the search!
