FOUND - I Met My Future
Hi all, I'm back with another request for help from the pros here.
I feel a little foolish; I can remember almost the entire plot, but neither the name of the story nor of the author. (You can bet I'm working on a better file organization approach, lol.)p
It is a J2 story where they are best friends from childhood. I believe they lived next door to each other. I even remember a scene where they are 5-7 years old and they were playing weddings with two of their friends. They wanted to 'marry' each other but their friends told them that boys can't marry boys. They got mad and Jared and Jensen get in a scuffle with them. They told one of the moms (Jared's, I think) who said something like they shouldn't listen to them. I even remember they gave each other rings made of string. They are inseparable and do everything together. They carve two letters - one J for each of their names when they are kids - go back an enhance it with a heart once they are finally together.
It's a typical trope... kids to best friends who live very close to each other; to high school; to college; then to living near Leah other after graduation. Jensen figures out he is gay when he is young, Jared thinks he might be bi, but has had a dry spell since he is always dating the wrong guy.
Jensen has known he has loved Jared forever, but kept it from him. They spend almost all their time together, Jensen becomes a professional photographer and Jared is an actor (live drama theater, I think).
Jared 's brother, Jeff, is getting married and he doesn't want to go stag so he talks Jensen into going with him and they figure out how they feel about each other during that weekend. Their relationship progresses and they ultimately marry. Jensen's photography continues to gain recognition and he has taken Thet (really just suggestive) photos and he asks for Jared's permission to show them at his first solo exhibition.
It turns out Jared has figured out he is love with Jensen (probably has been his entirely life) and takes Jensen on a surprise weekend camping trip where Jared sets things up like when they were younger and proposes to him.
That's all for now, but I remember more. I even think there might be at least two strokes in the verse.
