AU Fic based on tv show The Sentinel - Found (Thank you!)
A year ago or so I read a fic that I think was in the Hoodie-Time community. It was based on the tv show The Sentinel, so it was completely AU. What I remember is Dean is a Sentinel, someone with hyper acute senses and Sentinels have partners called Guides that help them deal with the Super Senses. Ash was his Guide but was killed by what seemed to be a lot of government conspiracy stuff. Mary was alive, John was a Sentinel and Ellen was his Guide (there was some tension about that!). Sam graduated college and Dean missed it because he was in the hospital suffering from sensory overload sickness or something that Sentinels get without their Guides. Eventually Sam and Dean go on the lamb because a cagey government person wants to take Dean to some Sentinel rehab type place and match him with a new Guide, but Sam seems to be the natural choice.
I would love to read this again and anything else the author may have written. And maybe encourage another story from that 'verse too.
