(Found!) Looking for specific fic: Cop Dean, mental hospital Sam, monster hunter Cas
I was reading this multi/chapter fic on A03 and it was updated some time in the last year, but now I can't find it on my list of subscriptions, so I'm afraid the author may have deleted it. But maybe I'm just not looking hard enough.
Dean is a cop. Charlie is his partner, and Gilda is her girlfriend. Sam has had himself committed to a mental hospital and won't let Dean see him, trying to protect him. He has a caseworker, Gabriel I think. Cas is some kind of monster hunter. He and Dean cross paths when Dean and Charlie attempt to stop a demon or some other creature. Kevin works with Cas in some capacity. Cas figures out that Sam is in great danger and ends up in his hospital room.
I think it was called This Thing We Do, and it may have been a reworking of some comic or graphic novel I'm not familiar with. Any help finding it would be appreciated!
