Okay..
Now it seems my journal has become all about one thing.. or person, rather. Not that that is a bad thing, because Mark is a very important person in my life, but I am now going to actually write about the other things in my life and what has been going on. Work is good. We have been horribly busy the past few weeks, which is a good thing, except we have been very short staffed and I have been working as the only tech in a 25 bed ER. Well, I should elaborate. We are supposed to have two techs at all times, and during the heat of they day we have three. We have two 7a-7p's and two 7p-7a's and one 1p-1a. Then each has a scheduling partner so we have a total of 4 7a-7p techs, 4 7p-7a techs and 2 1p-1a techs hired for our ER, right? Well, we lost several at once so for the past almost month we have only had 3 7a-7p and only 1 that was working 1-1. Well, 2 of the 7a-7p and the 1-1 decided to make their schedules together, leaving the opposite shift with, if you are counting.. 1 7a-7p. That one being.. you guessed it.. ME!! Not only do I not have a partner coming in at 7a with me, I didn't even have a person coming in at 1 to help in the heat of the day. It was crazy!! You'd think that management wouldn't have settled for that and at least made it so that if there wasn't two 7a's, that they 1p person would be coming in to help instead of letting them do me that way. Anyway, one of our nightshifts filled our other 1p-1a after his replacement was trained, and I am currently training my 7a partner and we will now be full staffed! Yea!! Anyway, if you didn't follow that, I'm sorry. In a nutshell, I was screwed, but it's getting better! ROFL Family is great, although my Mom's car is going kapoot, and they say it will take $6,000 to fix it. Yuck. I am also finding that with Mark gone I am also missing my friends from college. Got to talk to my roommate today online. That was nice. My best friend is in Jackson where she lives. I can't wait to go see them again, either. Wow, this is going to be a long post! Sorry guys!!
