Quotes Post #7 - The Scary Stuff
For all we love the family, the angst, and the humour in Supernatural, what it is at its core is a horror show. Monsters, ghosts and gore! So let's see if we can showcase some of the scarier moments in SPN in this month's Quotes Post.
Obviously the really scary moments are often visual or atmospheric, but sometimes the right line of dialogue can chill you to the bone. What quotable moments have you found in SPN that are the scariest/most chilling/creepy/downright disturbing?
A few from me:
1) The despair in this, from the classic ghost story in the Pilot, is so creepy:
"I can never go home."
2) Zachariah's casual display of power here leaving Chuck so completely trapped, stripped of even the most dramatic of human choices, has always been chilling to me - from The Monster At The End Of This Book:
Chuck: I'll kill myself!
Zachariah: Don't be melodramatic, Chuck. We'd only bring you back to life.
3) I love this whole scene, and Lucifer's calm certainty is just terrifying, you see it in Dean's face and it's so effective:
Sam!Lucifer: Whatever you do, you will always end up here. Whatever choices you make, whatever details you alter, we will always end up-here. I win. So, I win.
