Solstice - SPOILERS (vague SPOILERS for the end of season 6)

It takes a very long time for Sam to calm down. There had been a few days where he seemed better, but when anyone got close to the panic room door, Sam would start screaming - pounding his fists and who knows what else against the iron wall until they left.

For three days now, Dean has spent the bulk of his waking hours sitting next to the panic room door, leaning against it, and Sam has stayed calm.

Dean still talks to Sam. Sam answers sometimes - maybe. Dean doesn't know for sure because he can't understand anything Sam says anymore. When Sam does speak or scream, it's in Enochian.

Dean opens the small panel on the panic room door and looks through it. He can see Sam standing, his back facing the door. "Sam?" Dean says. "I'm gonna come in, okay?"

Sam doesn't answer, but his right shoulder twitches ever so slightly.

Dean opens the door - slowly, carefully, and walks into the room.

Sam doesn't seem to notice.

Dean looks around the room, and sees that Sam has been busy writing. The panic room wall is covered in Enochian. "You

I'm so glad you love it. I didn't even think of the other meaning of Sam being the sun until I saw you commented, and then I was like : Oh!
I had written it solely referring to Sam's memories of being Lucifer, but the double meaning makes it seem far more thought out ; )

Thank you for the Dean feedback! It is an ongoing struggle for me to write Dean accurately. What is interesting is that here in this little ficlet - I didn't stop to think about what Dean would say or do at all, I just wrote.

Idk I think we could still see panic room cuddling / hugging on the show - the beginning of 6x14 gives me hope for that.

I didn’t know about that meaning of Sam! I just know the ones that are sort of associated with Samyaza/Samael, God is blind I think? But it does make sense.

i was thinking - what could Sam be doodling on the wall that would explain what it felt like to be inhabited by Lucifer. Then I went to my new favorite site on the Internet, lol:

The two sentences Sam says are : " I was the sun." ( that's the one he repeats) and "I reigned over those things made of dust."

I'm also attemtping to write the Enochian out phonetically because that's how it would be heard.

Glad you liked it!

I am trying to prepare myself for 'worst-case scenario' season 6 possible endings, but the bright spot in this version is that Sam sounds really hot oddly hot speaking Enochian ; )

Oh, wow. That was really, really good. And unsettling in the best way.

If it happens like this in canon, it will kill me dead. I'm not sure if it will be due to happiness or heartbreak.

Show always does seem to find a balance between the two.
