I know exactly what s/he means. If you've let your imagination go crazy with all the prompts and stories that others have written, you can't always keep straight in your head which ones are purely yours.

Recently, I read a post by an author who's had a quote attributed to him and from one of his books. He believed the people that said it was his. Turns out, it's not even in the book. It's not to be found in anything he wrote. Someone else wrote that one quote that got famous as being his. And he didn't know it wasn't his.

I had a story on my hard drive that I had no recollection of writing. Pretty sure it's mine. Uses my style, is a plot I had toyed with writing about, has imagery that definitely sounds like me, but I've got no recollection of having typed it out.

Anyway, great story (although not the first Batman is a bad bad man story I've read (Song of Innocence is awesome) ;) so I wouldn't worry too much about pissing off Batfans, esp not the ones who would show up on a kinkmeme, honestly, what's the point of fandom and kinkmeme's if we can't make it really twisted :D). I really hope to see more.

I'll stop rambling now. recaptcha is telling me "cup of coffee" and I find it creepy that it's figured out that I need one.
