Read this at your journal and I LOVED it. It was wonderful and I was so glad that Jack wasn't left out. I almost have to wonder if he saw Jared and Jensen connect and wanted to make his boy(s?) happy. If you ever want to share his story I would love to read that. Not the OP, btw.

End note 3. Can anyone trace the genesis of alpha/beta/omega/knotting fic? Is it something that exists outside this fandom? I've always wondered and my Google searches have proven unsuccessful. :(
I don't know what started it. I have found some in more "normal" fandoms shows that take place in our or universes like ours, but it seems to flourish in fandoms where things like this aren't... errr.. far out of things possible in the world, if that makes sense. In Supernatural it seems to have grown into it's own genre from people wanting knotting and/or alpha/beta/omega fic but not that into werewolf fic or bestiality. Those aren't the only reason people love it but that has helped with its popularity, imho. Of course, I could be completely wrong and making a fool of myself too.

Thank you for the stab at the history! That sounds very likely to me and proves, once again, what a badass fandom SPN is.

I'm really glad you liked how Jack was handled. I think he was playing matchmaker with his boys, too, although that revealed itself to me slowly. :)

And I JUST realized that I forgot to enable anon commenting/disable IP logging on my journal proper. I suck! That's been rectified and thank you especially for taking the time to comment over here!
