Jared is still getting used to having werecat Jensen as a boyfriend. There are a lot of parts to their relationship he's never had to deal with before with a normal boyfriend. First there's the scent marking (Jensen rubs against Jared, especially with his face like a cat does) which seems to go along with Jensen being a bit possessive of Jared. Then there's the purring, though Jared tends to enjoy finding ways to get Jensen to make the sound. It's hard for Jared to complain about that textured tongue, especially when Jensen's habit of licking leads it to being applied to a specific area.
