Title:
Just Get Through This NightAuthor:
just-ruthRating: PG-13
Length/Word Count: 1773 words
Warnings/Spoilers: Set during 4.02, so spoilers for that episode; warning for violence, language.
Summary: Ellen, Jo, and Pamela during the rising of the Witnesses.
Reccer's Comments: I always want more of the women of Supernatural, and watching Ellen, Jo, and Pam struggle with their own failures, together, is well worth a read.
Title:
Whatever It TakesAuthor:
Emma15Rating: K/G
Length/Word Count: 1,600
Warnings/Spoilers: "Faith"
Summary: Sam reflects after "Faith"
Reccer's Comments: This is what Supernatural is all about - the brothers' relationship. Superbly written, excellent characterization, a heartbreaking moment of introspection. There are many, many "Faith" tags, this one is a must read. Period.
Title:
Begin AgainAuthor:
superbadgirlRating: PG-13
Length/Word Count: 2265
Warnings/Spoilers: Tag for 4.22
Summary: If they stood here for much longer it would mean the end of the world.
Reccer's Comments: Quite possibly the best tag I've read for 4.22.
Title:
No DominionAuthor:
gaelicspiritRating: PG-13
Length/Word Count: one-shot
Warnings/Spoilers: For episode 3.11, Mystery Spot. And there is a character death, 'cause, well... you know...
Summary: Four moments in the span of a hundred, four lessons in sacrifice, four chances to save him, and only one to say what he really means.
Reccer's Comments: This story is amazing! So poetic and heartbreaking. Mystery Spot fics are one thing I'll never get tired of. :)
Title:
I did it for youAuthor:
SoldadseraphRating: PG15
Length/Word Count: One-shot short coda
Warnings/Spoilers: Episode 4.16
Summary: It hurts to see how much he trusts Sam, maybe because he’s got no one else, maybe because he just wants to stop remembering Hell every time he closes his eyes, or maybe just because, through it all, they’re still brothers.
Reccer's Comments: This is, without breaking out of normal character behavior, a story that brings you all the care and comfort that you wish you'd seen in that episode.
Title:
Even the Sun's Got a Price On ItAuthor:
coffee_in_bedRating: PG for language
Length/Word Count: approx. 1250 words
Warnings/Spoilers: None; takes place post-AHBL Part 2
Summary: Ellen and Bobby, and "a little comfort before the war"
Reccer's Comments: This is a short piece but rich in detail - Bobby and Ellen sitting on Bobby's front steps in the middle of the night, shortly after the battle in the cemetery. It's just stunning.
Reccer's Caveats: This might be read as het, if you want to see it that way; to me it's 100% gen, told through the eyes of a longstanding, loving friendship.
Title:
As Well As MeadowsAuthor:
patita_feaRating: PG-13
Length/Word Count: 1200 words
Warnings/Spoilers: Spoilery for "Lucifer Rising"
Summary: The next five minutes after the credits roll on "Lucifer Rising"
Reccer's Comments: Duckie's writing is beautiful stuff, and doesn't get anywhere near the attention it deserves. Do yourself a favor and read.
Title:
I Just Called To Say...Author:
ficwriter1966Rating: PG, for language
Length/Word Count: 1250 words
Warnings/Spoilers: Spoilers up to "Dream a little Dream of Me"
Summary: Bobby hates phones. Particularly at three o'clock in the morning.
Reccer's Comments: Tag for Dream A Little Dream Of Me. Bobby-centric with a big dose of Dean, and very awesome.
Title:
Voice Mail [the rest is silence]Author:
blacklidRating: PG13
Length/Word Count: 235
Warnings/Spoilers: canon character death, spoilers for 3.16
Summary: Sam checking his voice mail.
Reccer's Comments: Short but packs a punch. (The punch, by the way, is delivered directly to the heart. Have a fun fic to read right after this.) A wonderful look at Sam.
