Title:
Suffer the Children (and the Geeks)Author:
faye-dartmouthRating: PG
Word Count: @46,000
Warnings/Spoilers: Nothing huge that I can recall.
Summary: A haunted museum, a geeky little brother, and five missing children makes for an interesting hunt.
Reccer's Comments: This is a solid and interesting case!fic with a Sam focus (but Dean is not left out in the dark), great OCs and just the amount of H/C.
Title:
DamagedAuthor: Liz Bach
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: @38,000
Warnings/Spoilers: Some language, some dark images.
Summary: In a split second of rationality, he reminded himself that he was drowning in a lake in the middle of Nowhere, Nebraska. He was hallucinating his last conscious moments away...
Reccer's Comments: I love this story still, though it's several years old. I find myself, when I need a Sam fix, turning to it often. Both boys are written beautifully.
Reccer's Caveats: It's on The Pit.
Title:
None Goes His Way AloneAuthor: RedLotusOasis
Rating: PG
Word Count: @6600
Warnings/Spoilers: Some language
Summary: Dean can call him Daryl Hannah all he wants, if he'll just get here already. He's starting to raisin. And the water creeps higher.
Reccer's Comments: This is essentially a Sam-in-Peril story, but it does give some nice insights to both boys as they were way back in S1. Plus, there's Bobby and his Amazing Technicolor Awesome coat.
Reccer's Caveats: the link will take you to The Pit
Title:
Life on MarsAuthor:
musesfoolRating: PG
Word Count: 4785
Warnings/Spoilers: It's post-series, futurefic, but no real spoilers.
Summary: Sam finds that without hunting, without television, the internet, or saving the world, he's got a lot of time on his hands.
Reccer's Comments: This is a lovely look at what might be (but probably won't, because it's not sad and bloody) for Sam and Dean when it's all over. Lovely insight into their non-hunting selves.
Reccer's Caveats: 3rd person present tense isn't something I read unless I'm kicking and screaming. This fic is 3rd/present.
Title:
Standing on the Edge of the WorldAuthor:
digitalwaveRating: PG-13
Word Count: 600
Warnings/Spoilers: General; futurefic speculations
Summary: Sometimes you just want everything to stop.
Reccer's Comments: This is short, but written with such a lovely hand the desperation translates right into you and makes you hope this is how it will never be.
Title:
Came the Night, Came the EndAuthor:
mickeymRating: R, for imagery
Word Count: 300
Summary: Sometimes, he remembers.
Reccer's Comments: This story hurts and it may be short but it's still a must read.
Reccer's Caveats: This story has Evil!Sam. Beware!
