1. The episode I hated the least was 9 (sorry Kevin girls!). There were a couple of cute interactions between Sam and Cas, and Dean was almost tolerable for me. Plus I am amused by tiny little metatron being followed around by hulking gadreel, idk. And it finally feels like something is happening, the first half of the season was basically a holding pattern of 'Dean is lying, Sam is oblivious and Cas is learning how to brush his teeth'.

I'm a Kevin!girl whose not watching the rest of season nine, and I actually agree with you. As fucking infuriating as this episode made me (both because of Kevin and because of stupidity with the plot), I thought it was the most enjoyable/exciting episode since 9.02.

It did advance the plot, yes. But upset though I am at Kevin's death, what prevented me from finding the episode really interesting was the absence of Sam. Doing the Sam finds out drama without Sam finding out was, among other things, really anticlimactic for me.

9.1 & 9.2. I was very intrigued by the set-up. I thought Dean was making a terrible choice, but I also really understood where he was coming from, and had some sympathy. I was intrigued by the hints that Ezekiel wasn't who he said he was, and I liked the Abaddon stuff a lot.

And then it pretty much went off the rails.

1. 9.02. It was fast paced and action packed and kept my interest the whole time. I feel like if I was a Dean!girl I'd probably say 9.07 but I just don't have that emotional connection to Dean so it kinda fell flat for me. Although I do think it managed to be the only scary ep of the season so far, which is a big plus.

1. I don't have any favorites because this season is excruciating. Otherwise, 9.6 was the best written and 9.5 was (shockingly) the most mindlessly enjoyable. My favorite scenes were probably the Abaddon/Dean ones in 9.2.

1. 9.01 was the best episode so far in a crappy season as this one.

My favorite is 9.02. There was a cool setup, interesting threads for the season, cool Abbadon stuff, Sam with *wings*!, possibly shady!Zeke, new hunters and the chance of developing MoL & hunters, and more. I really thought that there could be some character development if they addressed all the ways Sam has been taken over in his life. I also thought there might be fallout from Dean, who *cannot* let go, breaking the natural order again. I really thought we might see Death more than once

1. 9.06 or 9.07

2. Cas!girl, Dean/Cas with a side of pre-S4 Sam/Dean and a big old helping of Sam/Cas/Dean.

This has been the most uneven season yet in my opinion. Hoping things will get better in the back end but not too hopeful.
