Just followed a link to a new comm that was advertized as multimedia inclusive but when I got there everything was phrased 100% in terms of fic. What a weird bait and switch lol.

It looks like I might be forced to attend a weekend-long family reunion. These are family members that have, in the past, thought it was okay to offer me concrete as a sleeping surface and think "undressed iceberg lettuce" is a decent vegetarian option. This is before they get drunk and start screaming at me because I'm a known devil-liberal. Most of the time, I refuse to attend because I have work, but I've had bad luck being employed this summer. I've survived encounters at my house, where I have a bed/food/an escape hatch, but I wouldn't have any of that in the middle of nowhere.

I didn't follow the case closely but it's just ridiculous. Hope people protesting will be worth something.

I was shocked with Cory's death in the morning.

Cory Monteith's death is affecting me way more than it probably should. I had a friend who was doing a lot of drugs last year, and we staged an intervention, but he seems to have slipped through the system and has ended up on the street, I fully expect the next time I hear about him it will be news of his death at this point. Probably within a 3 k radius of where Cory died, though not in a swanky hotel room. It's just making me so sad, nonnies.
