I am not sure how I feel about this clip. One the one hand, I hate the OTT comic-relief Cast. On the other hand, Cas!Columbo! He was such a perfect Columbo. The accent, the mannerisms, the stutter, the eye!

Yeah, I feel conflicted too. I think I'm feeling/anticipate feeling secondhand embarrasment. But I really like Cas liking tv.

Cas watching TV is one of my great guilty pleasures. But I hope the Sam and Cas interaction isn't all comic relief Cas; that seems like a waste of the potential for their dynamic. Though 5.17 showed that a version of that can work.

I'm all mixed up about it too. But I think I liked it, which surprised me a little. TV watching Castiel is charming me for some reason, even though I did have to pause the clip one time out of secondhand embarrassment. I can't say how much I appreciated that at the end, Castiel doesn't react to the poly relationship except as it relates to the case.

But I'm okay if this is the jumping point for Dean or Sam to tentatively throw out the idea of a vee style D\C/S arrangement.

It's weird, I really like Castiel watching tv, but written down like that it makes me think "eh, what? What's so good about that?" But seeing it, I like it. Especially his smile at the pictures of Earth from space. And there's porn, and cop shows, and it's all good.

I like how your arrangement of slashes looks like victory arms. I hadn't seen that before, an now i think i should adopt it.

Yeah, I don't think it's something I would have independently thought of as a charming character quirk, but it's really growing on me. It's just so many angles of humanity, all condensed down together and he can flick through them all so quickly. But as we see here, it doesn't always make for the best teacher, which I also like, even if it's simultaneously a little cringe inducing. For some reason I'm imagining Castiel likes watching Oprah. Maybe he catches the episode where she gives away all those things she likes.

Thanks! I've grown a little lazy about writing vee style or V style etc, and I wouldn't mind at all of this x\y/z could take over as shorthand. There's the side benefit of thinking everyone's enthusiastically raising their hands up, after all.

Cas!Columbo is amazing. I was actually inspired by him and downloaded the Columbo pilot. I am watching it right now. I had forgotten how he managed to be so infuriatingly annoying and completely adorable simultaneously.

My resolve to wait until after to Christmas so I can watch the first part of the season in one big chunk is swiftly crumbling. I guess that's what I get for coming back to meme.
