Bonus question: what are you drinking? ^^
Me: DCBB, Reverse Bang, Kamikaze remix and I am in a middle of a porn fill for the kink meme. I am pretty excited by the Kamikaze Remix but I am afraid I am a bit too close to the original art and that the artist will be disappointed because it's not a real reinterpretation. At least, I LOVE the art and the pairing \o/
Drinking: Schweppes grape. Not bad at all :)

I was planning on writing 5k for the BB today but was derailed by this comment fic. Will probably anonfail because of it, but this is my first time writing crossdressing of any sort and I've had a ball looking up what the boys will be dressed in.
Drinking: nothing, I haven't gotten up from bed all day. Rise and porn for me today!

Ho! Ho! Crossdressing is not that common in fandom and I love it! I didn't even know there was a "Crossdressing comment fic meme"!
Good luck to you nonnie :3

I bought oil pastels, because they are cheap and pretty.
I drew a ridiculous photo of Jared, and the orchid in my bedroom. I think the orchid drawing would have looked pretty OK if it didn't have white flowers. I should probably teach myself with a pencil first, but it's more fun to draw in colour.
I find it really soothing because I don't expect myself to be good at it. I do expect myself to be good at writing, so I tend to procrastinate it and not enjoy it. I'm trying to embrace the joy of sucking, no double entendre intended. I think I'll go to yoga tomorrow morning for a double dose of being crap at things!
Any advice from any art!nonnies about ways I can play with the oil pastels and learn?

Welcome to the wonderful world of art nonnie :)
I think what is important is not the medium you use but how you use it. First of all, you have to study boring things like shadows and highlights, volumes, anatomy, perspective a bit. You can do it by using oil pastels to sketch but you need to know how an image, a body, an object works before anything. Drawing from live models or photos is great but you need to do a bit of theory first if you think about becoming a bit more serious about drawing.
However, what you are doing, sketching what you have around you is a great way to practice. ♥
If you have a library near where you live and that you can borrow books about "How to draw [insert theme here]" in order to help you, it would be awesome. It can help you sketch and it won't prevent you from having fun with oil pastels.
You can also check out oil pastels tutorial on YouTube to see how you can blend colors and have tips from great artists.
Good luck to you \o/

I do too! Except I have a tendency to fall asleep before it's done and then I have to try and finish it in the harsh, sober light of day.

Good luck to you nonnie!
I admire people who can draw/write (= being creative) while being drunk. I usually start giggling stupidly at everything, I draw two strokes, go to Tumblr to watch cat photos, go back to my art and then I give up and go back to stupid web sites like Meme Base to have a look at some fail blogs and laugh some more because of the alcohol. ^o^

I'm also distracting myself by trying to work on my tablet/digital art skills. They are somewhat lacking currently, but it's fun, even if photoshop and technology in general are a little overwhelming for me sometimes.
But if I get done, I'm going to write something for the kinkmeme to more or less kick my writing self in gear. I just have to choose only one prompt!
I'm drinking a DRY Rhubarb Soda. It's tasty, and not sweet at all, which is awesome.

Good luck to you with digital art nonnie ^^
You have great tutorial on YouTube to explain you everything about PS, even the most "obvious" things. It's very convenient and I learned a lot there :3
I'm sure you can ask some advice on meme on the "End of the post random thread" to the meme artists. I am sure they will be there to help you ^^

Well, that sounds like a lot D:
Drinking: tap water, I just went running and am thirsty.
OP, staying close to the original is perfectly fine, it's already a remix if you just change the POV. Strong reinterpretations are not always the best option.
