Adjusted up a tenth to .7

Okay, I don't understand this 0.7 - 0.6 rating. Does this mean the there were 700 thousandth people watching? I don't get US rating system.

No, it's a percentage of people aged 18-49 (advertisers care about that demographic because reasons, so total viewers count a lot less than demo) who were watching that show, based on Nielsen estimates from their sampling.

The Castiel and ratings debate exists in a black hole of unreason in which the laws of physics forbid light to be shed.

Really, I think the only useful conclusions the data allows are that Spn is still very safe for renewal as far as the CW is concerned, and the CW itself is still nosediving spectacularly in general.
