I wonder if you would consider making new posts early, a couple days before it's strictly time for them, but with commenting disabled.

That way, those of us who track could go ahead and set up tracking, instead of showing up late to a new post and then getting our inboxes full of a bunch of mis-filtered threads.

And then when 5000 comes, turn on commenting on the new post and tell us to move, like usual.

Does it sound worth a try? Another meme I track does it that way and it's awesome.

Where It's Always February 14

There was a knock on the front door. Huh, odd. He wasn't sure but didn't think they'd had a lot of visitors.

"I'll get it," he hollered to Rufus, and went to open the door though he could hear Rufus coming down the hall behind him.

When he opened the door, there was Jodie, looking pretty as a picture, holding a box-tray type thing with a dozen cupcakes out to him.

"Hey Bobby. I didn't think you were big bakers, so, um, these are for both of you," she said, smiling when she saw Rufus coming up to put his arm around Bobby's waist.

Then she leaned over the cupcakes and gave first Rufus and then him a soft peck on the cheek. "Happy Valentine's Day, guys," she said.

Bobby's memories might be a little fuzzy, but he was pretty darn sure he'd never had a better one.
