The old-style repost button likes to get fucked up by LJ (meaning that you can repost the original post no problem but anybody who tries to repost from you will on get the "Originally posted by XY at link" line and that's it).
LJ automatically replaces the working coding at the end of the post with something like this:
You have to delete it and change it back into
or use the new repost button,
or the "internal" sharing button that is available on every post on LJ (either as a linked text or a button, depends on your layout and display settings):
