Why I rec: Gay incest love tart. If that is not enough to sell this to you, there is just nothing else I can say.

Summary: A long, winding story about love, sex, food, archery, and a three-headed puppy who likes to eat cake. Also, something about the immortality of the soul.
Why I rec: It is basically a Sam/Dean version of the Psyche/Eros myth (one of my favorites) where Dean is Eros and Sam is Psyche. It's a long, engaging read. At first the necessary name changes are a little hard to get used to, but it's a very creative take on the myth and the boys are just precious together. It gets really, really fucking cracky in the end, but in a totally endearing and hilarious way. Very charming overall.

His life became a Valentine by restless_jedi (Sam/Dean, NC-17, 2,290 words)
Summary: AU to IMTOD; Dean doesn't have his body back and it's Valentine's Day, but he and Sam make it work anyhow.
Why I rec: This was, I felt, a very SamnDean approach to Valentine's, and also to the situation of the fic. The boys are very sweet in it, but also very sad. Their love for each othe is really apparent, though. I will say this: it is a lot sadder than one generally expects from Valentine's Day fic, so just know that going in.
Just Between You & Me by way2busymom (Sam/Dean-ish, PG-13, 2,241 words)
Summary: Since most everything in the Impala suffered in the accident, Sam makes Dean a mix-tape of the greatest love songs of Mullet Rock.
Why I rec: Here's what I learned while reading for this rec list: writing fic where Sam and Dean celebrate Valentine's Day and having it *not* be horrendously out of character is really, really hard. But this fic was so them, totally a thing I think Sam would do, and probably the only way Dean would respond to his brother making him something nice for Valentine's day. I found myself grinning through the whole thing. :)
