The Winchesters travel all across the United States, spanning from the desert heats of Texas to the cold winters of the North, and places like "Tornado Alley" aren't named because of their sunshines and rainbows.

Left home alone in Texas while John’s off hunting a tornado touches down and the boys are forced to the emergency shelter for the duration of the storm and its aftermath. It’s got scared boys, a saved leather jacket, worried John, and a helpful minor OC you can’t help but love.
Fill It Up With Something by glovered unrated (PG-13), Sam/Dean, season six
Sam and Dean hunt the abominable snowman-or Sam hunts the abominable snowman while Dean hunts for his brother who ran out into a blizzard. It has a bad-ass Sam, cuddling for warmth, and plenty of brotherly banter.
The Long Narrow Rope by pdragon76 PG-13, Gen, pre-series
A story from an overwhelmed John’s POV it follows an attempt to set Dean straight it starts with destruction and ends with a tornado. While the weather isn’t necessarily a main focus it makes a big enough impact along with the storm simmering under the surface of the Winchester family. With sick!Sam, hurt!Dean, and a gruff, overworked John this is a must read.

Travelling through the Midwest the Winchesters encounter a tornado. It’s not just monsters they have to save people from, and sometimes you just can’t save everyone. There’s a loopy, concussed Dean, a worried Sam, and once again the boys are heroes.
If you have any more natural disaster/weather related recs, please share. I had more to share, but lost them when my old computer crashed last week. Hunting them down again has been difficult :(
