Ever since I was a child, I always had a thing for the big bad wolf. Not surprising, now that I'm older, I have a thing for werewolves. So here's a few of my favorite "wolf" stories in the SPN fandom. Fair warning, all of them are Sam/Dean. A couple of them are fairly mild, though.
- Wolfpack by tabaqui (also see sequels Dogs of War, Breathing Space and Savage and Jaunty)
There really are not enough words for how much I love this series. These stories are not about animals themselves, but a family that pretty much behaves like animals. I just love the "what if" aspect of this series. I'd also like to mention that this is one of the best outsider POV series, in my opinion.
- In the Shadow of the Moon by albydarned
Sam finds himself caught between his obligations as a hunter - as a Winchester - and to his brother, his protector and all he has left in the world.
Great pacing and emotions. You're right there with Sam all the way through.
- On the Banks of the Tiber by angstslashhope (also see sequel Field of Mars)
While these two stories stand perfectly well on their own, together they pack a pretty punch.

Well, long fic + werewolf = omg yay! Seriously, I love this story. The boys are hunting a werewolf and they have their own personal demons to work through. And it's long and plotty and that is always good in my book.
So, what are your favorite wolf/animalistic SPN fics?
