Neat. I like the way it unfolds and moves like an episode, and the twists and turns, and i like how you incorporated an older case/episode into it.

Well, you managed to take the most craptastic prompts in the history of promptage and build a nice little casefile out of one. Interesting how you pulled in characters from previous show episodes, Old West elements, the Colt and the Native American aspects.

I got a kick out of the ladies of the tribe trying to feed Sam up. Also enjoyed "seeing" Dean on a horse--those bowlegs gotta be good for somethin' right? *g*

Thanks for this.

For your viewing pleasure, in case you haven't seen it before, and definitely on point (so to speak). Jensen on a horse. From an interview back in his soap opera days. Yes, there is a reason for the bowlegs, and it's not what the fangirls like to think!

Oh honey, I've seen it. But totally worth watching again. *g* He was an adorable kid, wasn't he? Did he have horses back in Dallas? I kind of had him pegged as a city boy. I really wasn't following his career back then, though I did watch Days quite a bit. In fact, not being a member of the WB/CW demographic, the first thing I said when I saw the pilot of SPN being advertised was, "Hey--that's Eric Brady!" (I'd missed a lot, but I did go back and watch Dark Angel.)

I'll tell you what kills me about seeing that vid again, though. I just sent a boy off to college this week who's about the same age Jensen was in that video. *pouts*

Glad you liked it. *grin* I confess I also like the idea of the boys on horseback but erinrua helped me see they might not be as experienced as we'd like - or as Dean thinks he is.

A friend of mine was at EyeCon and thought Jared was "too skinny" which got me thinking of Motherly types like me who'd want to feed him. . .

Hiyo Silver, away! Jay Silverheels=Tonto. Jeez, am I the only one commenting who's old enough to remember?!! Very cool way you wove all these elements into the story. It was fun to see Andrea and Lucas again, too, and I can totally believe Lucas ended up with a little bit of the shining. Fun read!

I embarrassed my daughter when JDM started talking about the Colt by starting to "Da-Da-Dum" the William Tell Overture. She's a music major and claims I'm never on the right key. *grin*

And yes, according to a couple of name books I've read "Tonto" is supposedly a nickname for Antonio. . .

This was wonderful! I loved the way you worked the legend of the Lone Ranger into the SPN mythos so seamlessly.

I really enjoyed it and hope this universe calls you back someday. Thanks so much for sharing this with us. :)

Okay, so, a guilty pleasure of mine involves Sam and Dean and horses. (And two pairs of chaps.) Having an actual saving-people-hunting-things story to go with the horses is the icing on my dirty little guilty pleasures cake. Thanks for a fun read.
