flails incoherently

Oh, my goodness! This is AMAZING, and hits so many of my narrative kinks, I can't even begin to tell you! I love, love, love what you did with the prompts, with the disasters and the Sam'n'Dean stories and Dean as someone who has very much been too long in the wasteland. I love that the world is bleak and yet there's hope (there's much about your story that reminds me of "Station Eleven," in that way).

Of COURSE Sam and Dean would assume that the end of the world had supernatural causes, and of COURSE Sam's self-image would freeze at the same point that Dean stopped aging. And yes, Dean WOULD place a high value on that fuzzy robe and memory foam mattress. I am also tickled beyond tickled that Sam and Jody had that fling, and not the least because Trisha is wonderful. I loved the moment when Dean realized that Cas was spreading stories, and I love how it's clear that the stories (and the lore) keep on going after Dean has his reunion with Sam.

This is amazing, mystery author. I love this so, so much, and I really think I need to re-read this again (already read it twice).

I am so, so thrilled that you enjoyed the story and that you read it multiple times! You gave me the most amazing, inspiring set of prompts to work with--so much so that I wanted to do them all! And then I sort of stalked you a little to get a feel for the kind of thing you might like--so to hear that I managed to hit so many of your narrative kinks is fabulous. When I saw that you'd prompted 'Too long in the Wasteland' a few times I figured I had to go with that prompt. And then I listened to the song and was blown away by how perfect it is for Supernatural. I sure hope someone makes a vid for it one day!
Anyway, so very happy that you enjoyed this. Thanks again for the great prompts. :D

Yay! I'm delighted to finally learn who wrote this WONDERFUL story! Also, thank you so, SO much for picking up on that unmet prompt of mine and delivering such a great story to go with it. Isn't it a perfect song for the series?

Anyhow, I cannot tell you how much I appreciate the work you put in to making a work that was so tailored to my many narrative kinks - including working in some Sam/Jody. I'll be reading this again for sure.

Thank you!

..for picking up on that unmet prompt of mine...

I figured you'd asked for it so many times, you really should get something, and I can't vid, but when I listened to the song I knew I could write something for it. It's just brilliant for Supernatural. I played it and instantly got an image of purgatory!Dean walking out of a desolate landscape, weapons in hand, wary expression on his face.

...tailored to my many narrative kinks...

We seem to share a few, so this was a hugely enjoyable task!

Thanks again for the great prompts. I'm truly thrilled that you enjoyed the story. :D
