I haven't read much fanfic this year, but I'm so glad to have come across this one! I wasn't sure how I'd feel about an End!verse fic with both brothers in it, but you did a great job focusing away from anger and guilt and finger-pointing and letting us savor the slow simmer of reconciliation.

Loved the echo of Sam telling Dean, "It's not that bad" - reminiscent of reversed roles in another episode.

Sam's POV felt very real to me, and story's pacing was just right. This was a poignant look at what might have been that really resonated with me. Nicely done!

This is awesome. I adore the language of this piece--there's something so evocative and fresh and memorable about every line. I love what you did with the post-5x04 setting, with the slow rebuilding, the agrarian sort of tinge to the world, Sam and that tractor--! And of course that final scene is winsome in every respect. Fantastic piece!
