Oh my, the beginning was so entertaining I wasn't expecting the detour into angst, even with the warning in the header. Good story. :-)

I really felt it as the foreboding increased, and the end was quite a punch, even while you left us with hope that it was getting fixed. Very unique, enjoyed it greatly!

Oooh how chilling. I love how this started off as crack but got drastically more serious and how Sam handled it, particularly considering how screwed he was being unable to communicate. Love how you did that prompt!
