See this, Sera? This is my canon, now. ninjapsammead October 28 2011, 01:53:26 UTC
Oh god. Oh god. First I teared up (Jo), then I teared up again (pamela), then I cheered a little (at mention of Adam, you're totally going into the Pit, aren't you, oh god oh god) then I cheered (when they kissed) then I instantly gasped in shock and now here we are. All the motherfucking feelings.

Amen to unstoppablei. We were pissed at first, as a fandom, at the idea of Godstiel, but we came to a place of acceptance over the summer, of recognizing how thematically bad ass it would be to have the sort of things you guys have been writing onscreen with Godstiel, and then we get stupid, pathetic Leviathan bullshit instead. This chapter alone has made me feel a wider spectrum of emotions than Supernatural has in weeks.

Bless you for mentioning Adam, bless you for the vivid detail with which you show us the roots of Dean's guilt, BLESS YOU for sticking to the tenets of FUCKING FREE WILL AND SPITTING IN THE FACE OF EVIL.

Totally agree on your points about Godstiel. we came to terms with it, and they totally short changed us over it. I'm glad we are getting the extended episode arch that this story line deserves

Dude! We're humbled, honest, by your kind words and by the support of everyone who is showing up to read. I feel very much like you: had a very hard time dealing with what happened to the nerd angel, and was forcibly dragged, kicking and screaming, to a place of just having to deal. So to then not have the storyline play out was very frustrating. Because it could have been so damn good. It would have given the brothers a unifying cause and preserved the heart of the show to have seen them save their friend. And honest, I still do retain some hope of seeing that - but until then, this canon is a great place to play.

It was such a pleasure to co-write with one of my favorite D/C ficcers too! XD

But heck, if you thought this was good, I just cannot wait to see what y'all think of next week's chapter… 17,000+ words of total freaking awesomeness courtesy of swordofmymouth and tiptoe39.

Yes Yes Yes Yes!!!!!! You have all taken the words right out of my mouth! This chapter in the story really is where I was hoping the show would go even if they would never have shown Cas and Dean sharing a kiss. Disappointment abounds but this beautiful story gives me hope. FANTASTIC JOB!

I totally agree wrt the godstiel thing, and I think the beauty of doing something like this is that it allows us to explore those storylines that have been dropped by canon and try to tie up some of the loose ends.

Adam! Lol, that was really just a last-minute thing that I decided to throw in there, so I'm very happy to hear it worked for you. Poor kid really did get the short end of the stick, didn't he?

Thanks so much for taking the time to read and comment; it really does mean a lot to us <3 And stay tuned for next week, because swordofmymouth and tiptoe39 have something incredible in store...
