First of all, thank you so much, dear anon, for the two months of a paid account for this comm ♥
Secondly, sometime overnight, we hit the 500+ member mark! In addition, we got over 400 comments in our first ffa last night! That's pretty incredible. I only hope we can keep growing! Continue to spread the word to your friends and anyone who might be looking for us.
I've had a massive outpouring of offers for help from everyone from people with no experience but lots of enthusiasm to people with pretty awesome credentials. You are all awesome, and fear not, I will be calling upon everyone's services soon enough. In the mean time, if you missed it last night(and I don't blame you; it was pretty crazy), we have a post going for
layout suggestions for the comm. That way we can get a new shiny layout without one person(me D:) spending hours trawling for layouts; everyone can pitch in a bit.
Now for some srs bzns!
I've seen this question come up a few times, so I figured we should answer it right here and now; this comm is intended to replicate the awesomeness we had at the mothership,
ontd_spnparty. We will have the same rules, the same events(yes, that does include crossroads and party posts and rewatches), and, hopefully, the same atmosphere, or better. I realize some people started to dislike the reception they were receiving at the old comm, and I hope that this can be a new start for everyone. We plan on focusing on all the leads, past and present(yes, we're counting Jim as a lead, because he is to us). We're here to have fun and party. I won't tell you to keep negative opinions to yourself, because that's the basis of discussion! But keep it civil and remember what your momma always told you; sometimes, if you can't say something nice, it's best to not say anything at all.
Another issue to deal with: Largely while I was asleep last night, a discussion came up about the FFA times. Namely, the fact that the original time is too late for Europeans, and altering it any earlier would make it difficult for west coast members to attend because it would cross over into work times. After some thought, I've decided against splitting and creating two FFAs, because that would just be more hassle and, in the end, wouldn't quite be as fun. So, a poll! Now, this isn't to give a final answer. I just need to see who's where and who thinks what. Tonight, FFA will be at the regular time, 7:30pm EST, however, that might change depending on the results of the poll. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this causes, but I hope we can get as many or more participants than last night!
