We're just over a month old (\o/) and we're wanting to check how we are doing. We've been thrilled with the response to posting links, so thank you. We have lots of exciting plans for the future, including opening recs up to art and vids. Thanks for your awesome input!

We do include art and vid recs from the team in the last section of the newsletter (under the heading 'Other Media') - where we try to find at least one art rec, one music video rec, one eBook rec, and one audiobook rec for every issue). So I hope you can find things to satisfy your cravings there! And you must have read our minds, because we're looking into the themes and opportunities to let our members rec art and music videos in the future, etc. That would be awesome, right? We just wanted to make sure we got fic well underway before we branched out. But your feedback tells us we definitely should keep that on our radar!

ETA: I think I'll move art to the top of the 'Other Media' section of the newsletter instead of the bottom - might make it easier to find!

Our Featured Fic Recs are mostly Blasts from the Past - we just didn't call them that. And sometimes they may be something else, but I know a lot of team has bookmarks from 2007 on and we want to share them! So check those out -- you're most likely to discover some old treasures in that section.

I love your idea about pimping for other themes like episode codas, future!fic recs, etc. We talked about exploring that once we finish with the 5 or 6 themes we already have, so your comment tells us we should start thinking about that ASAP because folks would enjoy that! So thanks - that's exactly the sort of input we were looking for!

And finally - I know what you mean about wording the rec. I have the same problem if I try to rec art. Um... it was amazing!... doesn't seem descriptive enough. I don't know why I liked it - I just did!
