Ridley is best know for hurting Dean but in this story Sam is used to persuade John to help the Big Bad (and awesome baddie too). Sam is poisoned and Dean is left feeling helpless as he watches his littlebro suffer. Lots of hurt for both the boys. I also like the plot and the way this story unfolded. Genre/Pairing: gen Type of hurt: illness, coughing, fever, nausea Why are you rec'ing this story? The story is somewhat untypical for the author in that it is, despite the theme, rather lighthearted overall. Sam gets sick but tries to play it down and Dean is overprotective, bossy, yet very caring. For once we get some comfort with all the hurt, and it's written in a way that's both heartwarming and very in-character. Anything else we should know? All of minviendha's stories are worth reading, but consider yourself warned: many of them are very dark and not all offer a happy ending. The ones that don't are well worth the heartbreak, though. They are posted at her fic journal.
